Learning to Love Overcast Days

Rainy cloudy days used to frustrate me. I always had plans and anything that threatened to interrupt my plans was met with intensity.

There’s an old saying that ‘we don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are’. What you see is a choice. The reality is, I was simply impatient.

I still have a full calendar, but I enjoy a rainy day. It’s a great opportunity to slow down, make alternative plans, and be present.

Like today. It rained of course, but I took the opportunity to relax at Sully’s Rooftop in Mooloolaba. I sat with a friend and took in the view, we talked, read, ate food and put myself in a positive mindset for the week ahead.

It’s just a different view, and where else would I want to be? Bring on the rain! #goodwork #lead #rebuild
